About the event

PRL is proud to offer this course, taught by the Lake County Sheriff's Office, covering local risks to teen safety (including Human Trafficking in Central Florida), the importance of self-awareness to teen safety, and some physical, self defense maneuvers. MVA Students 11+ only; Parents welcome (one per student please, since attendance is capped at 30 and we want as many students as possible to be able to participate).

On the day of the event, please wear comfortable clothes and sneakers, please.  Please be sure to arrive 15 minutes before class begins so that we can start on time and maximize the experience for everyone.

There is a minimum suggested donation of $10 per attendee, but more is welcome (BONUS:  We have a corporate sponsor who has offered to match all donations received up to $1000).  All proceeds from this event will be donated to the NOMI Network  (a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to end human trafficking by creating pathways to safe  employment, empowering women and girls to break cycles of exploitation  in their families and communities.).  Donation is made when you reserve your spot, but is non-refundable.  Please note that we will be unable to issue refunds if you are later unable to attend.
